At Global Justice Journal, we celebrate new and established voices in pursuit of social justice regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, or religion. Provided the pervasive theme of the manuscript is justice-oriented, authors are welcome to submit manuscripts in any literary genre, including fiction, nonfiction, poetry, the dramatic arts, and folklore. Note: We will immediately reject any manuscript that we perceive as promoting hate, xenophobia, discrimination, or violence regardless of whether that is the author's intent.
Please submit your manuscript as a Word document. This will allow us to spill the text of your manuscript into various book templates and to price print options for you in advance of preparing a contract. If you are submitting a play, a collection of poetry, or other free-form verse that does not comply with standard justification guidelines, please submit your manuscript with formatting and fonts embedded in the document to ensure the submission reflects your artistic vision accurately. Please remember to include your name and contact information on the cover page of your manuscript or poetry collection.
Authors are not expected to be seasoned editors. At the same time, it is anticipated that you will proof and spell check your manuscript prior to submission to ensure it is reasonably error-free. While multiple spelling and grammatical errors will not automatically eliminate your submission from consideration, they may serve as a distraction from an otherwise fascinating manuscript. If certain errors are purposeful, please preface the manuscript with a note to that effect.
Please be sure to cite all sources and to refrain from presenting opinion as fact. Referencing a source as "anonymous" or by using a pseudonym is acceptable. In the case of questionable or controversial assertions, Global Justice Journal will need to perform an internal verification of sources. However, you will not be required to identify anonymous sources publicly.
Books published by Global Justice Journal will conform to the Chicago Manual of Style (CMS) to the extent that doing so will not compromise artistic expression or dishonor cultural traditions. While we do not require authors to become experts on CMS guidelines, we will appreciate any effort to adapt your manuscript accordingly.
When submitting your manuscript, please include a resume and a brief synopsis within the same Word file. Please submit only one manuscript at a time.
We are only able to accept submissions in English at this time.
Please review our publishing process before submitting your manuscript.
To ensure that we receive your manuscript, please confirm that the size of your Word document does not exceed 10MB. We sincerely appreciate your interest in Global Justice Journal's Book Division and look forward to responding within two weeks.
